CALL FOR COMPOSERS

The Cantelli Award aims to actively contribute to the renewal of the symphonic repertoire by creating an ideal connection with Guido Cantelli’s commitment to the music of his time, emphasising his role as an innovator and lively interpreter of his time.

Hence our decision to commission each year a newly composed symphonic piece that candidates for the Cantelli Award will be required to perform during the preliminary phase.

The call, open to composers of all nationalities and with no age limit, is for the composition of a symphonic work that will be part of the programme of the 13th edition of the “Guido Cantelli” International Conducting Award.

Scores must be submitted through the form by midnight GMT+1 on 15 April 2024.
